# Article 34 — Notification and information

If a Member State applies an exemption pursuant to [Article 32](/psd2/articles/32.md), it shall, by 13 January 2018, notify the Commission of its decision accordingly and it shall notify the Commission forthwith of any subsequent change. In addition, the Member State shall inform the Commission of the number of natural and legal persons concerned and, on an annual basis, of the total value of payment transactions executed as of 31 December of each calendar year, as referred to in point (a) of [Article 32(1)](/psd2/articles/32.md).
