### Definition

> **(64)** '**medium-sized enterprise**' means a financial entity that is not a [small enterprise](/definitions/dora/small-enterprise.md) and employs fewer than 250 persons and has an annual turnover that does not exceed EUR 50 million and/or an annual balance sheet that does not exceed EUR 43 million;
