# Recital 73

For the purposes of greater transparency and accountability and to increase awareness with regard to their activities, FIUs should issue activity reports on an annual basis. Those reports should at least provide statistical data in relation to the suspicious transaction reports received and the follow-up given, the number of disseminations made to national competent authorities and the follow-up provided to those disseminations, the number of requests submitted to and received by other FIUs as well as information on trends and typologies identified. Those reports should be made public except for the parts thereof which contain sensitive and classified information.
