id=\"art-6\"></a>Article 6 — Secretariat\n\n1. <a id=\"art-6-p-1\"></a>The AI Office and the Joint Research Centre shall jointly provide the secretariat (the ‘Secretariat’) for the scientific panel.\n\n2. <a id=\"art-6-p-2\"></a>The Secretariat shall be responsible for providing the necessary support for the efficient functioning of the scientific panel. The Secretariat shall, in particular:\n\n    **—** identify and manage potential conflicts of interests;\n\n    **—** monitor compliance with the rules of procedure referred to in Article 8 and compliance with the requests to carry out tasks according to Article 68(3) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689;\n\n    **—** process requests from market surveillance authorities to the scientific panel for additional expertise;\n\n    **—** process requests from Member States for support by experts for the purpose of their enforcement of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 at national level.\n\n","marks":[],"text_hash":"e8d29af64e3076c72bb60161fec809338d3f23180c85534a36607b2cdecb88be","revision":1}}
